Good Luck Brian Madden!
Unless you've been living under a rock (or been on a nice long vacation!) then you know Brian Madden made a recent announcement that after 21 years, he will be leaving TechTarget and therefore BrianMadden.com to pursue new ventures. BriForum 2016 Boston will be the final BriForum conference. Brian, a super-technical IT pro who has been on the forefront of the industry's trends, conversations and conferences will be taking a break from IT as well as leaving the Citrix CTP program. The Tricerat team is excited to see what he comes up with next!
We have had the honor of knowing Brian for many years, and we've been a proud participant and sponsor at multiple BriForums throughout the years. We're proud to say that our CEO John Byrne was one of Brian's first BriForum investors, Brian described sharing the initial concept with John in this blog from April of 2014. John shared his thoughts about the beginnings of BriForum:
It was about two years after initially meeting Brian that he came to visit me at the Tricerat offices in Columbia to tell me about his idea for a Citrix-related conference. It was to be focused strictly on assisting IT admins to expand their use and understanding of the products. It was to be a 'no-fluff' event, with a very heavy focus on the tech. He thought it would be good to have vendors in the space, like Tricerat, to participate in the conference. I immediately offered to write him a check on the spot because I concurred that such a conference was really needed. It was a chance for the users of the tech to drive the conversation.
