Tricerat Helps BARCS with Successful Fundraising Event

We wrote about the Litter Boxes, Pints & Pizza event a few weeks ago to benefit our furry friends at Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS). To recap, BARCS needed more disposable litter boxes for the many cats they rescue throughout the year. Local businesses in the Baltimore area came together to help out in what turned out to be a successful event!

Baltimore Businesses Helping Out BARCS

Our neighbors over at Union Craft Brewing were gracious enough to host the event inside their taproom along with Well Crafted Kitchen. The key to making this event a success was being able to repurpose Union Craft Brewing's misprinted box shipment they had recently received. The boxes were the perfect size to double as disposable litter boxes that BARCS desperately needed for the many rescues they receive each week. In addition to volunteers coming out to fold boxes, both Union Craft Brewing and Well Crafted Kitchen donated proceeds of each pint and pizza sold throughout the event to BARCS.

Successful Event for BARCS

The result of the event was a resounding success for BARCS. Hundreds of litter boxes were built by volunteers and staff from Tricerat, Union Craft Brewing, and Well Crafted Kitchen. Our own COO, Hannah Shuman, and CTO, Andrew Parlette, got involved in the litter box building as well!

What is Ahead for Tricerat and BARCS

The Tricerat staff has been volunteering with BARCS throughout 2021 and will continue to do so in the future. COO Hannah Shuman said that "seeing Union Brewery, Well Crafted Kitchen, and members of the Tricerat team come together to fundraise and volunteer for BARCS was special - we look forward to planning more community events like this!"
