I am receiving a Fatal Error during uninstall.

If this occurs, the uninstallation will need to be performed manually.

1)       Download the Microsoft MSI Removal Tool from www.tricerat.com/Area51/msicuu2.exe

2)       Install the "msicuu2.exe" utility on the terminal server

3)       After the install, run Start\Programs\Windows Install Clean Up

4)       A window will pop-up with a list of installed MSIs. Scroll until you find the entry referencing the Simplify Suite. Remove that entry from the list by highlighting and then clicking the "Remove" button

5)       Open the Services control panel applet under Administrative Tools

6)       Stop the "Simplify Resources" service

7)       Open Windows Explorer and go to the C:\Programs Files\triCerat

8)       Delete the entire triCerat folder and everything under it

9)       Go to C:\Windows\system32

a.       Do a wildcard search for *notify*

b.       Delete the following Simplify Suite notification files:

If any of the notification files are in use, you will need rename them, reboot the server, and then delete. Note: It will be easier to complete the rest of this procedure before rebooting.

10)   Under each of the following locations:

C:\Windows\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86
C:\Windows\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86\3

Delete the files named:

If any of the driver files are in use, you will need rename them, reboot the server, and then delete. Note: It will be easier to complete the rest of this procedure before rebooting.

11)   Open up Regedit

a. Navigate to HKLM\Software\triCerat and delete the entire triCerat key.

b.  Navigate to HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Notify\SimplifyNotify and delete the entire SimplifyNotify key.

c.   Navigate to HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\IniFileMapping\system.ini\boot

                                                               i.      Find the "Shell" value on the right

With the Suite installed, It should read as follows:
USR:Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

Change the data to reflect the following:
SYS:Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
 

d.       For a true clean install, also delete the following keys along with all values and data under them.

HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows NT x86\Drivers\Version-3\ScrewDriver3
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows NT x86\Drivers\Version-3\ScrewDriver4

HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Monitors\SD3PRDP5
