Client Install

The manual setup of the ScrewDrivers client involves the selection of only one item. That item determines the protocol(s) (RDP and/or ICA) for which the client will be installed. Please see the screenshots below. Note that the client installer that comes as part of the standard download has a search functionality built-in that allows for locating of any Citrix client installations on the user's workstations. This provides proper editing, regardless of location, of the Citrix client configuration file 'module.ini' with the necessary ScrewDrivers client edits, as well as the copying of the appropriate DLL file. If you have a large number of files on your hard drive, the search may take longer.

In addition, there are deployment tools/packages available to facilitate roll-out of the client to your environment. A few of the options include MSI packages, ActiveX controls, combination scripting, and dual-client installers. A full listing including downloads are available at the following link:

Instructions for setup and use of the tools/packages are included with each download. If more information is needed, please contact triCerat support.

The 'Select Components' dialog allows selection of RDP, ICA, or both components to be installed on the client workstation. Selection will depend upon which protocol is in use in the environment.

This dialog will appear if the ICA component has been selected to be installed. The ScrewDrivers client installer that accompanies the standard download is designed to search for any existing Citrix clients installed on the client workstation. It will search all local drives and partitions.
