Workstation Registry
The most common issue with Screwdrivers over RDP is when the Screwdrivers client is installed on the workstation as one user, but then another user logs in to the local workstation to then login to a terminal session. During the Screwdrivers client install, an edit is made under the HKEY_CURRENT_USER hive for that user. The issue comes up in that only the user that is currently logged in during the install gets this registry edit, but all other local users do not, therefore not building printers through Screwdrivers when they login to a terminal session.
To get around this issue, the easiest solution is to run this file on the local system:
C:\Program Files\triCerat\Simplify Printing\Screwdrivers Client v4\install_rdp.exe.

Running this file will not show anything on the screen, but will add the registry edits required for the RDP client to reference the Screwdrivers client. The information added to the registry is below:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Terminal Server Client\Default\AddIns\SDFXP]
"Name"="sdrdp5.dll"
"REMOTECONTROLPERSISTENT"=dword:00000000
Screwdrivers Client Version
The next thing to check is the Screwdrivers client version, and make sure it is up to date. You can get the installed client version under the general tab in the Screwdrivers client control panel. Then, you can get the latest Screwdrivers client version from the Screwdrivers Client Download Page.
Screwdrivers Client Reinstall
The final troubleshooting step for RDP client issues is to reinstall the Screwdrivers client. To do this, first remove the current Screwdrivers install from Add/Remove Programs, restart the workstation, then install the latest Screwdrivers client again.
