To add an object, first find the object folder in the object tree.. Next select the subtype of the object by selecting that level of the object tree. Now you can right-click and select "New Object" or hit the "New Object" button on the object toolbar.

Once the object is created, you can name the object whatever you want. Names are stored internally by an ID, so you can use the same name for multiple objects even though it is not a best practice as it will get confusing. Once you've named the object, go through and set the configuration properties that you want. After the properties are set, be sure to apply the changes by clicking on the "Apply" toolbar button. Now you are ready to assign the object to an Owner!
Assigning an object to an owner in three simple steps:
1) Select the target owner in the Owners pane by highlighting the user, group, OU, etc.

2) Select the object you wish to assign in the Objects pane.
3) Click and drag the object from the Objects pane over to the Assignments pane. Drop the object in the area you want to make the assignment. As you drag, a small circle with a line through it will appear to notify you that the object cannot be dropped there.

To delete an object, select the object. Then you can right-click and choose delete or hit the "Delete" button on the object toolbar. Caution, when you delete an object all previous assignments for that object are also deleted!
Hint: The structure of the Objects pane is almost identical to the structure of the Assignments pane. For example, a ScrewDrivers object created in the Objects pane is dragged to the ScrewDrivers container in the Assignments pane for the assignment to take. A plus sign will appear on the pointer when the object is being assigned to the appropriate container.
